Welcome to Nice and Sharp Sharpening Service. We can sharpen German (bevel edge) and Japanese (convex hollow ground) shears so they will cut as good or better than the day they were new.
Beveled edge scissors:
These are your basic scissors. They include general household scissors, kitchen scissors, craft scissors utility shears fabric scissors, sewing scissors, as well as most barbershop scissors and some pet grooming scissors.
Convex edge scissors
These are used by most beauticians, some barbers and some pet groomers They are much sharper than beveled edge scissors and more delicate. .
Specialty scissors
These can be beveled edge or convex edge scissors. Some examples are craft shears, sewing shears, thinning shears, surgical scissors and pinking shears. These types may require additional procedures or alternate techniques.
Our Sharpening Process
All scissors are first inspected to insure that tension is correct and the two blades ride smoothly on each other. If needed, corrections are made to insure proper tension
We use state of the art sharpening equipment for both bevel and convex scissors. This insures that they will cut and perform as they were intended from the manufacturer.
Testing
We test every pair of scissors that we sharpen we test. Testing is conducted on appropriate material. For example hair scissors on hair, fabric scissors on fabric, craft scissors on paper, etc.
Delivery
Scissors are sharpened and ready to be returned within 2 days of receipt. Scissors can be mailed back as well as same day and while-you-wait service.
Our Guarantee
If, for any reason, you are not 100% satisfied with our work just let us know and you will be given two options
1. You can bring or send the items back to us and they will be re-sharpened at no cost to you and we will pay for all the shipping costs
2. We will refund your money, including any shipping costs.
